There’s nothing more frustrating than discovering that your air conditioner is running but not cooling. This wastes money and energy and makes you uncomfortable. The following are a few reasons why this could be happening:
Dirty Air Filters
Clogged air filters keep your AC from cooling properly. You can change the air filters if you look at them and see that they are full of dirt and debris. Doing so will provide you with proper air flow through your cooling system.
Your air conditioning system has an outdoor condenser and an indoor air handler. Both have coils that are important when it comes to cooling your home. These coils can become dirty. When this happens, they interrupt the AC’s ability to do its job. We can take care of this problem and eliminate future issues with our routine maintenance.
Frozen Evaporator Coil
A frozen evaporator coil may be the cause of your AC problem. When this happens, you need to turn off your air conditioner and run it on the fan only until the coil is no longer frozen.
Refrigerant is fluid in the AC system’s copper coils. Its job is to absorb heat from the air in the evaporator coil. The air conditioner needs a specific amount of refrigerant for it to function properly. If it leaks out, the AC can’t cool. We can fix the leak for you and replace the refrigerant.
